The second king of the Western Zhou dynasty who reigned from 1042–1021 BC; son of 周武王zhōuwǔwáng with personal name Jī Sòng, he was assisted by the 周公zhōugōng and his reign is part of the Golden Age known as the Rule of Cheng and Kang (成康之治chéngkāngzhīzhì)
