An armed uprising against Japanese colonial rule in Taiwan in 1915, led by Yu Qingfang and centered at Xilaian Temple in Tainan; it was the largest and bloodiest revolt of its kind. Also known as the 西来庵事件xīlái'ānshìjiàn, the 玉井事件yùjǐngshìjiàn, or the 余清芳事件yúqīngfāngshìjiàn.
