Nian Gengyao (?-1726), a prominent Qing dynasty general under the Kangxi and Yongzheng Emperors who led military campaigns in Sichuan, Tibet, and Qinghai; he was ultimately stripped of his titles and forced to commit suicide after losing the Yongzheng Emperor's favor.
