Li Tang (c. 1066–1150), a renowned painter of the Southern Song dynasty; he specialized in landscapes and human figures and is considered one of the Four Masters of Southern Song painting.

The Tang dynasty, so named because the ruling imperial family had the surname 李lǐ; used to distinguish the dynasty from other historical periods also known as Tang, such as that of the legendary Emperor Yao.
