Southern Song Dynasty painter active in the early 13th century, originally from Shandong, known for his figure paintings and distinct 'abbreviated brush' style. A former court painter who left official service to live a bohemian life, he was famously nicknamed 'Madman Liang' for his eccentric behavior and drinking habits. His masterpiece 'Immortal in Splashed Ink' is held in the National Palace Museum.
