Baidi City (White Emperor City); an ancient fortress town in modern Chongqing, located on a hill overlooking the northern end of the Qutang Gorge. It was a strategic military site during the Three Kingdoms period and the location where Liu Bei passed away. It is famously celebrated in Chinese poetry.
