A group of eight prominent Chinese painters active in Nanjing during the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, most commonly referring to 龚贤 gōng​xián, 樊圻 fán​qí, 高岑 gāo​cén, 邹喆 zōu​zhé, 吴宏 wú​hóng, 叶欣 yè​xīn, 胡慥 hú​zào, and 谢荪 xiè​sūn; sometimes referring to a different set of eight including 陈卓 chén​zhuó, 蔡霖仑 cài​lín​lún, 李又李 lǐ​yòu​lǐ, and 武丹 wǔ​dān
