The Tale of Huo Xiaoyu
- The Tale of Huo Xiaoyu
- A famous short story from the Tang Dynasty by Jiang Fang. It tells the tragic romance between the scholar Li Yi and the courtesan Huo Xiaoyu; after Li Yi abandons her to marry into a prominent family, Xiaoyu dies of a broken heart and haunts him as a ghost. The story was later adapted by Tang Xianzu into the play 紫钗记 zǐchāijì.
