- Traditional Chinese music and theater popular in southern Fujian and Taiwan. Originally evolved from northern tunes, it is commonly performed at temple festivals, processions, and puppet shows. It is traditionally divided into the 西皮 xīpí and 福禄 fúlù schools based on the instruments and singing styles used.
