北魏孝文帝 běiwèixiàowéndì Emperor Xiaowen of Northern Wei
Emperor of the Northern Wei Dynasty (reigned 471–499) who was born Tuoba Hong and later changed his surname to Yuan; he is best known for his radical policies of sinicization, including moving the capital to Luoyang, banning Xianbei language and clothing, and encouraging intermarriage between Xianbei and Han people.
