Beinan or Peinan Township in Taitung County [[台东县|臺東縣|tai2 dong1 xian4]], southeast Taiwan.

An archaeological culture in eastern Taiwan dating back over 2,000 years, named after the Peinan site where many artifacts have been unearthed.

The Puyuma people, one of the indigenous ethnic groups of Taiwan, traditionally concentrated in Taitung County. Known for their matrilineal family structure and rigorous military training for young men.
