The popular name for Zheng Chenggong (1624–1662), a Ming dynasty loyalist and general who defeated the Dutch to claim Taiwan; the name literally means 'Lord of the Imperial Surname', referring to the surname Zhu bestowed upon him by the Longwu Emperor.
