A major figure in Buddhism known for the vow to save all beings from the hell realms before becoming a Buddha; often referred to as the Earth Store or Earth Treasury Bodhisattva. He is one of the four great bodhisattvas along with 文殊菩萨wénshūpúsà, 普贤菩萨pǔxiánpúsà, and 观世音菩萨guānshìyīnpúsà.
