    A famous Buddhist temple in Xi'an, Shaanxi, built in 648 by Emperor Gaozong to honor his mother. It is the site of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, where the monk 玄奘 xuán​zàng translated scriptures and founded the Faxiang school of Buddhism. Also known as 大慈恩寺 dà​cí'ēn​sì.
