Liu Zongzhou (1578-1645), a late Ming dynasty official and Neo-Confucian philosopher; noted for his teachings on the mountain Jishan, he is often referred to as Master Jishan.

The Zongzhou Bell, an ancient bronze bell dating from the late Western Zhou period; featuring a 123-character inscription, it commemorates the military victory of King Li (or King Zhao) over southern tribes and is a key historical artifact currently held at the National Palace Museum.
