A phrase originally used at the end of Han dynasty official documents to indicate urgency; now used at the end of Daoist incantations or charms to command spirits to act immediately.

Just as one must follow the law; strict and inviolate. Originally used in Han dynasty official documents, it later became a common closing phrase in Taoist charms and spells meaning "let this be done as strictly as if it were a legal order."
