Songtsen Gampo (604-650 or 617-650); the founder of the Tibetan Empire who unified Tibet and established the Tubo 吐蕃tǔbō dynasty. He is celebrated for introducing Buddhism to Tibet, creating the Tibetan script based on Sanskrit, and marrying Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty.
