Zhu Kezhen (1890-1974), Chinese meteorologist and geologist

Shen Baozhen (1820-1879), a prominent Qing dynasty official and Minister of the Navy who founded the [[船政学堂|船政學堂|chuan2 zheng4 xue2 tang2]] in 1866 and oversaw modernizing defenses in Taiwan.

Yang Weizhen (1296–1370), a prominent poet and scholar of the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties; known for his distinctive and unconventional poetic style called the Tieya style.

Liu Zhen (died 217), one of the [[建安七子|建安七子|jian4 an1 qi1 zi3]] (Seven Scholars of Jian'an). A poet of the Three Kingdoms period known for his forceful five-character poetry and unornamented style.
