瘗鹤铭 yìhèmíng Inscription for Burying a Crane
A famous 6th-century stone inscription and calligraphic masterpiece from the Southern Liang dynasty. Originally carved into a cliff on Jiao Hill in Jiangsu, the stones fell into the Yangtze River and were recovered in pieces during the Song and Qing dynasties.
