Emperor Gaozong (1107–1187), born [[赵构|趙構|zhao4 gou4]], ninth son of Emperor Huizong and first emperor of the Southern Song dynasty; he was a noted calligrapher who eventually established a peaceful but subservient relationship with the Jin dynasty.
