- 淳于髡 chúnyúkūn Chunyu KunChunyu Kun (c. 385–305 BC); a famous political thinker, strategist, and scholar from the State of Qi during the Warring States period; noted for his wit, eloquence, and use of allegories to advise the king Qi's rulers to advise on internal reforms.

- 髡残 kūncán Kuncan(1612–1673) Famous landscape painter of the early Qing dynasty; born in Hunan, he became a Buddhist monk after the fall of the Ming dynasty and lived in Nanjing. Known for his dense and vigorous style, he is celebrated as one of the Four Monk Masters of the early Qing alongside [[石涛|石濤|shi2 tao1]], [[朱耷|朱耷|zhu1 da1]], and [[弘仁|弘仁|hong2 ren2]].
- 髡钳 kūnqián ancient punishment(literary) Ancient Chinese punishment involving shaving the head and shackling the neck; shaving the hair was called [[髡|髡|kun1]] and using an iron collar was called [[钳|鉗|qian2]]
