A traditional Chinese calendar system consisting of 72 five-day periods, based on observations of nature, weather, and bird migrations in the Yellow River region. Each period is linked to a natural phenomenon and provides guidance for farming. Three of these periods make up one 二十四节气 èr​shí​sì​jié​qì.
