Yan Shifan (?-1565), a corrupt official of the Ming Dynasty and the son of the powerful minister 严嵩 yán​sōng. He was known for his greed and arrogance, and he is often cited as the historical basis for the character 西门庆 xī​mén​qìng in the novel 金瓶梅 jīn​píng​méi.
