    (literary) A personification of the Chinese writing brush. It originates from a satirical biography by the Tang poet [[韩愈|韓愈|han2 yu4]], in which a rabbit-hair brush character is granted the title "Lord of the Imperial Secretariat" by the First Emperor of Qin.
