"Slapping the Table in Amazement (Part I)", a famous collection of vernacular short stories by the Ming dynasty novelist 凌蒙初 líng​méng​chū; along with the sequel 二刻拍案惊奇 èr​kè​pāi'àn​jīng​qí, it is known as "Two Slappings" and is part of the "Three Words and Two Slappings" canon.
