动物淀粉/ 動物澱粉 dòngwùdiànfěn glycogen
A type of carbohydrate used to store energy in the bodies of animals and humans, found mainly in the liver and muscles. It is the animal equivalent of the starch found in plants. Also called 糖原 tángyuán, 肝糖 gāntáng, or 肝醣 gāntáng.
