A famous figure from the State of Chu during the Spring and Autumn period who discovered a piece of jade ore in the Jing Mountains; after having both legs amputated by kings who doubted its authenticity, the jade was eventually recognized as a treasure and named 和氏璧 hé​shì​bì.
