To talk recklessly or thoughtlessly; also used to mean saying things without choosing words carefully. This is sometimes considered a misuse of 口不择言 , or conversely used as a synonym for it.

(literary) To say not a single word that is not appropriate; used to describe someone whose speech is consistently virtuous and aligned with moral standards.
