A global non-governmental organization that provides family-style care for children who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it. Founded after World War II by Hermann Gmeiner, it organizes children into small family groups with a dedicated caregiver. Also referred to as SOS儿童村 āi​sī'ōu'āi​sī'ér​tóng​cūn or 儿童村 ér​tóng​cūn.
