Any of various birds in the family Paradisaeidae, mainly found in New Guinea, known for the brilliant plumage of the males; also called 极乐鸟 jí​lè​niǎo or 风鸟 fēng​niǎo.

A perennial herbaceous plant with striking orange and blue flowers that resemble the head of a bird; also called 极乐鸟花 jí​lè​niǎo​huā or 鹤望兰 hè​wàng​lán.
