The goddess of drought in Chinese mythology, according to the Classic of Mountains and Seas. She is said to be the daughter of the Yellow Emperor, 黄帝 huáng​dì, and helped him defeat 蚩尤 chī​yóu by stopping the storms of the wind and rain gods.
