广通渠/ 廣通渠 guǎng​tōng​qú Guangtong Canal

The first canal built by the Sui dynasty, completed in 584 AD to improve grain transport; it ran approximately 300 li from Daxing (modern Xi'an) to Tongguan where it joined the Yellow River.
