The Hanging Temple or Suspended Temple, a wooden temple built into a cliff face 30 meters above the ground at Mount Heng in Hunyuan County, Shanxi Province. Dating from the late Northern Wei Dynasty, it is unique for its precarious architectural design and for being the only temple that combines Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism
