Ci'en Temple
A famous Buddhist temple in Xi'an, Shaanxi, built in 648 by Emperor Gaozong to honor his mother. It is the site of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, where the monk [[玄奘|玄奘|xuan2 zang4]] translated scriptures and founded the Faxiang school of Buddhism. Also known as [[大慈恩寺|大慈恩寺|da4 ci2 en1 si4]].
