An Indian Buddhist monk (?-74 AD) traditionally credited with introducing Buddhism to China and translating the "Sutra of Forty-two Sections" during the reign of Emperor Ming of Han. Also known as 迦叶摩腾 jiā​shè​mó​téng or 摩腾 mó​téng.
