Personal name of the seventh emperor of the Tang Dynasty, commonly known as 唐玄宗 táng​xuán​zōng or 唐明皇 táng​míng​huáng. He reigned from 712 to 756, a period that saw the Tang reach its peak of prosperity before the An Lushan Rebellion began.
