    Huan Tan (c. 20 BC – 56 AD), a philosopher and scholar of the Eastern Han dynasty from Peiguo (modern Suixi, Anhui); he was known for his wide learning, his critiques of contemporary superstition, and his work "Xin Lun" (New Treatise).
