法腊/ 法臘 fǎlà monastic seniority; monastic age
The seniority of a Buddhist monk or nun, measured by the number of summer retreats completed since ordination; also refers to the completion of the retreat itself which marks the end of the monastic year. Also called 法岁 fǎsuì or 僧腊 sēnglà
