浣花溪 huànhuāxī (also wǎnhuāxī) Huanhua Stream
A famous stream in the western suburbs of Chengdu, Sichuan, known for being the site of the 杜甫 dùfǔ Thatched Cottage. It is associated with the Tang dynasty poet 薛涛 xuētāo, who used its water to make decorative paper known as Huanhua stationery.
