    Sheng Xuanhuai

    (1845–1916) influential Qing Dynasty official and industrialist who founded the China Merchants' Steam Navigation Company and several major mining and telecommunications enterprises. His 1911 policy to nationalize local railways helped trigger the Sichuan [[保路运动|保路運動|bao3 lu4 yun4 dong4]], leading to the Xinhai Revolution.
