    Cheng Yi (1033-1107), a famous Song dynasty philosopher and neo-Confucian scholar from Henan. Along with his older brother [[程颢|程顥|cheng2 hao4]], he was a key figure in the establishment of the school of principle, later influential to [[朱熹|朱熹|zhu1 xi1]].
