    Kuiji

    (632–682) A famous monk of the Tang Dynasty and co-founder of the Faxiang school of Buddhism. He was the principal disciple of [[玄奘|玄奘|xuan2 zang4]] and is often called "Master Ci'en" because he lived at the Ci'en Temple. He assisted in translating scriptures and wrote extensive commentaries on them.
