窥基/ 窺基 Kuiji
(632–682) A famous monk of the Tang Dynasty and co-founder of the Faxiang school of Buddhism. He was the principal disciple of 玄奘 and is often called "Master Ci'en" because he lived at the Ci'en Temple. He assisted in translating scriptures and wrote extensive commentaries on them.
