花灯戏/ 花燈戲 huādēngxì huadeng opera
Local opera popular in Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, and Hunan provinces, developed from folk songs and dances performed during the Lantern Festival; it often features catchy melodies and simple plots. Also called 花灯 huādēng or 茶灯 chádēng.
