    Duke Yansheng

    A hereditary title bestowed upon the eldest direct descendant of [[孔子|孔子|kong3 zi3]] in each generation. Established in the Song Dynasty, the title was officially abolished in 1935 and replaced by the position of Sacrificial Official to Confucius.
