Daochuo (562–645), an influential Chinese Buddhist monk of the Tang Dynasty who is honored as a patriarch of Pure Land Buddhism. He is known for promoting the practice of chanting the name of Amitābha Buddha and for writing the "Anle ji" (Collection on Peace and Joy).
