- Literary works from the Jian'an era (196-220) of the Eastern Han dynasty through the early Wei, centered around the patronage of Cao Cao at the city of Ye. It is characterized by realism, emotional intensity, and poetic vigor. Also known as 建安文学 jiàn'ānwénxué.
