    Battle of Changping

    Decisive military conflict in 260 BC during the Warring States period where the [[秦|秦|qin2]] state defeated the [[赵|趙|zhao4]] state. Led by general [[白起|白起|bai2 qi3]], the Qin army encircled and killed over 400,000 Zhao soldiers, effectively clearing the way for the eventual unification of China.
