    Lu Xiufu

    Lu Xiufu (1238-1279), a loyalist politician and scholar of the late Southern Song Dynasty; he is famously remembered for carrying the child emperor on his back and jumping into the sea to commit suicide as the Song navy faced final defeat by the Mongol Yuan forces.
