今文经学 jīnwénjīngxué New Text School
A dominant Han dynasty school of Confucianism that studied Classics written in the contemporary clerical script of that era. It was established as official state doctrine under Emperor Wu, often emphasizing the political and social reforms found in the [[春秋公羊传|春秋公羊傳|chun1 qiu1 gong1 yang2 zhuan4]]. The school saw a major revival in the mid-Qing dynasty as a theoretical basis for social reform.
